RELEASE | Banach joins Red Leafs Non-Conference Roster

BURNABY, BC – The Simon Fraser University Red Leafs Hockey program is excited to announce the commitment of forward Bradley Banach to the non-conference roster for the 2024.25 season.

Banach, from Mississauga, ON, joins SFU with 133 games of Junior “A” experience, spending two years with the Ontario Junior Hockey Leauge’s (OJHL) Milton Menace before moving west to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), playing 40 games for the Weyburn Red Wings and Melville Millionaires.

“Bradley adds size and strength up the middle for us,” said Head Coach Mark Coletta, “He’s a smart player that will fill the void up front from losing some of our high end guys this year.”

“His coach in Melville, Doug Johnson, speaks very highly of him so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do with this group.”

Banach describes himself as a “scrappy” 200-foot forward that prioritizes winning battles around the ice and being a force down low on the forecheck. Off the ice, he plans on earning his Bachelors of Business Administration and learning the ins and outs of business, finance, and economics in order to operate his own business.
