FAIRBANKS, AK – After a challenging 2-1 overtime loss last night, the Red Leafs are back at the Carlson Center again to face the Nanooks for a second time in as many nights.

SFU started Friday’s affair strong, scoring twice in the first with one coming back due to an offsides. The Nanooks responded in the second to tie the game but neither team was able to pull away until the overtime period. Goaltender Jesse Makaj earned a staggering 53 saves and a .964 save percentage in the game, while incoming defenceman Nicco Camazzola scored his first as a Red Leaf.

Gabe Gratton is expected to get the start on Saturday night as the Red Leafs look to flip the script on the Nanooks. The game can be watched on FloHockey, and you can follow us online at @SFUHockey on Instagram and Twitter / X for live updates.
