SAULT STE. MARIE, MI – The Simon Fraser University Red Leafs look to rebound against Lake State tonight in Sault Ste. Marie.

After falling to the Adrian Bulldogs last night 2-1, the Red Leafs head north to Sault Ste. Marie to take on the Lake Superior State University Lakers.

“They’re going to be an older, stronger, bigger team,” said Head Coach Mark Coletta about the Lakers, who will be dressing 15 forwards and 8 defencemen tonight.

The Lakers have officially started their season, currently sitting 1-3-0 against NCAA competition but will not begin CCHA play until November. The team has been outscored 13-11 and has only defeated the University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves thus far.

Back in Burnaby, the BCIHL team will look to get back in the win column against the Logan Lake Miners.
