Simon Fraser Red Leafs Hockey Club Announces Non-Conference Games for 2023.24

Simon Fraser University Red Leafs Hockey is pleased to announce the first six non-conference games for the 2023/24 season.

SFU Hockey will be facing off against their Lower Mainland rival UBC Thunderbirds and TWU Spartans, as well as the Briercrest College Clippers (ACAC) and Colorado College Tigers (NCAA Division 1).

“This is a big opportunity for our program; playing these types of games against top competition is exactly where every coach and player wants to be,” said head coach Mark Coletta.

While the club will be seeking its third consecutive British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League title and sixth in program history, the team will also be competing in non-conference action with NCAA and USports teams to supplement their schedule.

“We’re definitely asking a lot of the players on and off the ice, but our guys have proven that they can balance their studies and hockey,” says Coletta.

The club plans on announcing additional non-conference games in the coming months - details will be shared as they become available.
