Simon Fraser University Men's Hockey is pleased to announce that forward Brody Lindal has committed to the club for the 2026/27 BCIHL season.

A left-shooting forward, Lindal stands 5'10" and 185 lbs, bringing speed, tenacity, and a competitive two-way game to the SFU lineup.

Lindal played his most recent junior season with the Richmond Sockeyes of the PJHL, joining the club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and tallying 30 goals and 48 assists in 49 games. He was part of a dominant Sockeyes season that saw the team finish first overall with a 44-5 record. A reliable contributor at even strength and on the power play, Lindal chipped in throughout the regular season and remained a steady presence during Richmond's deep playoff run. His durability and competitiveness were recognized by the club, which named him a co-recipient of its Iron Man Award alongside Dylan Nazareth, who will be joining Lindal on the SFU roster for 26/27.

Before arriving in Richmond, the Victoria, BC product developed through the Burnaby Winter Club, where he was a key contributor to the program's CSSHL U18 championship. During his summers, Lindal has been turning heads in Australia against professional competition, putting up strong seasons with the AIHL's Melbourne Ice, Sydney Bears and Melbourne Mustangs, earning 120 points in 93 games.

The dual Canadian-Australian forward plans to study Communications at SFU.
