RELEASE | Red Leafs name Fraser, Huffman, and Ceccarelli to leadership group

BURNABY, BC – Head Coach Mark Coletta and the Simon Fraser University Red Leafs Hockey program has named defenceman Caleb Huffman and forwards Austin Fraser and Lucas Ceccarelli to the team’s leadership group.

Joining Captain Jimmy Darby, the three players will wear A’s for the remainder of the 2024.25 season starting tomorrow against the University of Massachusetts Minutemen. Darby was named captain ahead of the team’s first road trip to Long Island and Connecticut back in October.

Fraser joined the Red Leafs this year after spending 2023.24 with the NCAA D1 Lindenwood Lions program. This year he’s lead both on and off the ice while earning 3 goals and 7 points so far.

Huffman also joined the Red Leafs after spending a year with an NCAA D1 program, playing the 2023.24 season with the Alaska–Anchorage Seawolves. Huffman leads all defencemen this season with 11 points in 14 games.

Ceccarelli entered his second season with the Red Leafs this year and has proved to be one of the team’s most valuable offensive assets. The forward leads the team with 8 goals and 16 points in 14 games played.
