26/27 RECRUITS | Former Richmond Sockeye Dylan Nazareth Commits to SFU for 2026/27 BCIHL Season
Simon Fraser University Men's Hockey is pleased to announce that forward Dylan Nazareth has committed to the club for the 2026/27 BCIHL season.
A right-shooting forward, Nazareth stands 6'3" and 198 lbs, bringing a big, physical frame and a versatile two-way presence to the SFU lineup.
Nazareth played his last junior season with the Richmond Sockeyes of the PJHL following two SJHL seasons split between La Ronge, Melfort and Humboldt. He was part of a dominant 2025/26 campaign that saw the Sockeyes finish first overall with 44-5 record. A reliable contributor through the regular season and playoffs, he totalled 43 goals and 82 points in 49 regular season games, finishing tied atop the PJHL goal scoring race. His durability and competitiveness were also recognized by the club, which named him a co-recipient of its Iron Man Award, playing in all 49 regular season games.
The product of Richmond, BC plans to study Business Administration at SFU.
Earlier this spring SFU Hockey announced the retirement of the Non-Conference team and plan to re-focus on the BCIHL with a single team moving forward. Read the full statement.
