PREVIEW | Red Leafs Wrap Up 2025 with 4 Games in January
BURNABY, BC – SFU looks to wrap the 2024.25 season up on a high note with just four games remaining.
Facing off against a familiar rival to kick off 2025 action, the Red Leafs will head up to Fairbanks, Alaska to take on the University of Alaska–Fairbanks Nanooks for two on January 10th and 11th. SFU and UAF have faced off regularly for years going back to the 2010s when the Red Leafs just had one team in the BCIHL, and with both teams looking to turn their seasons around, these games promise to be intense and exciting.
At the end of the month, the Red Leafs will head down to the St. Louis area to match up against the Lindenwood University Lions for two to wrap up the 2024.25 season. The Lions joined the NCAA ranks for the 2022.23 season and have been going through the growing pains of becoming a Division I program, winning just 7 games in their first season and 6 in their second. Lindenwood currently sits with a 4-13-1 record this season with 8 games before the Red Leafs come to town, and will be looking to improve their record in a meaningful way before the games.
International livestreams will be announced if and when they come available, and you will be able to follow the action live on Twitter / X and Instagram at @SFUHockey.
