CANTON, NY – The Red Leafs are back out in New York State to face the St. Lawrence University Saints on Friday evening.

SFU enters the weekend back in the win column after an exciting homecoming weekend saw the Red Leafs sweep the ACHA M1 Maryville University Saints by scores of 6-4 and 5-4 in overtime, improving the team’s season record to 4-7-0. Leading the charge in those games were Austin Fraser, tallying 2 goals and 2 assists, Luca Grabas with two goals on Saturday, and Lucas Ceccarelli who scored the overtime winner on Saturday night to cap off the weekend’s action.

St. Lawrence has had their own struggles to start their season, being shutout twice and holding a 4-5-0 record, but earning all 4 of their wins at home. Forwards Greg Lapointe and Tomáš Mazura lead the team with 11 points each in 9 games played; Lapointe with 6 goals and 5 assists and Mazura with 1 goal and 10 assists. 6 skaters are tied for second in goals scored with two apiece.

SFU’s starter is yet to be determined, but both Jesse Makaj and Gabe Gratton are available for the Red Leafs this weekend. This evening’s game can be streamed on ESPN+ in the United States, or internationally via the ECAC Hockey Portal for $5 USD.
